Randers Regnskov Tropical Zoo is an experience for all your senses
You are constantly surprised, thrilled and amazed on your trip through three continents: Asia, Africa and South America.
All senses are bombarded when you step into the rain forest, the tropical heat embraces you while you are overwhelmed by the smells, giant cliffs, beautiful plants and roaring waterfalls. In a split second, you have made a journey to a world where sloths rest in the tree tops and free-range monkeys jump around on the paths and where only the guides in red clothes and the dome ceiling pull you out of your illusion.

Tropical sharks at eye level!
Experience training of sharks - Visit “Harvest of the sea” - Meet the “Ocean’s Friend” Can you train large tropical sharks?
Even though sharks are ‘just’ fish, the answer is YES. As a new activity, Kattegatcentret has started training the sharks in the tropical shark tank. Watch them come all the way up to the trainer.
Visit the new experience zone “Harvest of the sea” and learn more about sustainable fishing, MSC-labelled fish and the use of algae in your everyday life. Go exploring with the “Ocean’s Friend” and get brand-new experiences at Kattegatcentret. The Ocean’s Friend knows a lot about all the animals and is an expert at showing you what the animals are capable of.
Experience all the fish in the Oceanarium and watch the seals romp in the Lagune. Or take a dive in the water yourself with Danish sharks and fish. As a certified diver, you can dive with the tropical sharks!
There are oceans of activities and a sea of experiences.

Go on a fun drive on the savannah with stories about the animals of Africa. You will for example meet giraffes, rhinos, ostriches, antelopes and many other animals.
Exciting animal feedings You can be there when cheetahs chase their lunch, when the lions jump for their food, or when bears and wolves compete for the meat. At the many feedings of the day, you will get plenty of wild experiences.

Skandinavisk Dyrepark
Humans are welcome too
Skandinavisk Dyrepark is a true nature gem – for the animals as well as for you and your family. In this unspoilt and beautiful nature, and in uncommercial surroundings, you will find the world’s largest predator - the polar bear. The polar bears live in the world’s best polar bear park of 26,000 m2 – which is equal to a total of 5 soccer fields. Watch the polar bears do headers into the big lake, watch the large male polar bear catch a fish during feeding and take amazing photos. You will experience the polar bears from a 220-metre footbridge winding through the entire polar bear park - right at eye level and without glass and fences to disturb your view. There is simply nothing better
than that!!!
Our irresistible brown bears, amazing wolves, impressive moose and all the other animals obviously also live in giant, natural enclosures that ooze of animal welfare. You will experience the animals up close and get a good and happy feeling in your stomach from watching the animals display loads of natural behaviour that you have never seen before!

Munkholm Zoo
Animal experiences at eye level.
Munkholm Zoo is among the 3 exciting animal parks in Djursland along with Ree Park – Ebeltoft Safari and Skandinavisk Dyrepark. At Munkholm Zoo, you will find plenty of experiences for small children. The zoo is located in peaceful surroundings in Djursland and provides full-day experiences for the entire family. Here, you will find many offers for animal-loving children, such as petting a rabbit, touching a goat, stroking a wild serval on the back, feeling a snake or riding a pony.
Relax at the ”Serval Grill” while the children play on the playground. You can also enjoy your packed lunch at some of our roofed lunch areas. Again this year, there will be exciting new animals and nice new facilities.
