Djursland abounds with exciting artwork. Regardless of
whether your main interest is painting, sculptures, graphic art,
ceramics, glass works or any other particular form of art,
there are plenty of choices.

This beautiful area has attracted a multitude of artists, most of whom are delighted to open their workshops to the public by appointment. Also, the numerous intimate galleries and other exhibitions are well worth a visit.

There are also various kinds of arts and crafts, e.g. ceramics,  textile art and other quality arts and crafts work. Many of the  arts and crafts people’s workshops are open to visitors. This  gives you the opportunity to follow the making of ceramics,  visit a weaving workshop or a candle maker’s.

A large part of Djursland’s history is closely linked to the  many castles and manors in the area. Our many churches  also attract quite a few visitors. No less than 80 churches can  be found. A large number of them hold interesting murals,  altarpieces or pulpits. Architectonically speaking, Thorsager  Rundkirke, the only round church in Jutland, is probably the
most fascinating. In many of the churches, church concerts are  held. The concert programme is available in the porches and  at the tourist information centres.
